Fancy Dress For Christmas

It seems like just yesterday we were enjoying the summer sun our summer holidays and all things warm and bright. Now the bright thing in the sky is the glare from the thousands of Christmas lights. I have seen my first Christmas Tree, all decorated up and glowing bright and we are only in mid November. It seems that each year the gap between the different festivities seems to get shorter and shorter.

In terms of Christmas more and more of us, are choosing themed party nights or just dressing up for the fun of it. Most of the Christmas football matches will see dozens of guys all dressed alike as they hope to celebrate their team's victory. Even if their team does not win they always seem to be having a lot of fun in the various costumes which have little if any relevance to the football team.

I think we have reached a time when fancy Dress at Christmas is no longer just for those in a nativity play, when you think about it very few people are in the play a handful at best, with most confined to watching. It is the case however that all children play dressing up games and love to have fun in this way, so why not try and suggest that all the kids get to dress up for their Christmas party. If this is not possible it will probably still be acceptable to make it optional for your child and let them have that extra fun.

Many office parties are now themed, even local pub crawls are getting themed these days and with Christmas we can still have some fancy dress which is more 80s Fancy Dress or Elvis fancy dress there is no need for it just to be Christmas Trees Elves and Reindeer.

Some people might choice one of those films clearly associated with Christmas due to the fact it get played each year or the various sequel prequel etc is released at this time of the year, an example would of course be Shrek which just happens to have its very own little donkey.

The only set back to choosing your Christmas fancy dress outfit is that if you don't get it quick there might not be any left, so plan early and make sure you get it ordered early. It is a great way to go to the party themed or not, it ensures lots of attention and lots of fun and is a great way to liven up the festivities.

So have yourself a very Merry Fancy Dress ChristmasLily Gordon is an avid fan of 80s Fancy Dress Theme Parties and 80s Costumes. Not averse to some 70s Fancy Dress also.
